Facebook assumes - Data of 30 million FB users stolen

Hackers have stolen personal data of three million users of social networking site Facebook. Facebook has given information about this. According to Facebook, at the end of last month, the hackers stole the access to three million users' access tokens by cyber attack on account of 4 lakh people.

The effect of this hacking was that people's accounts were started automatically logging out on Facebook. Facebook said that they are investigating the cyber attack, so that they can tell the affected people what kind of information the hackers have stolen from their accounts.

In his statement, Facebook said that as many of the accounts we had estimated hacking, fewer people were affected. This burglary is due to a security deficit. However, Facebook has removed this deficiency.

According to Facebook hackers broke into the code of Facebook between July 2017 and September 2018. Using Facebook's feature 'View As' through three different software bugs. Through it, hackers got access tokens of the user, through which they blown data from three million people's accounts.

However, Facebook has corrected the problem and given its information to Cyber Crime Branch. According to Facebook, there were fears of hacking accounts of 5 million people, but hackers could only hack around 30 million accounts.

Facebook said that they saw hackers' activities on September 14, 2018, which they saw unusual. After this, Facebook launched an investigation and on September 25 it was decided that it was actually an attack.

Facebook cleared the attack within two days and stopped the attack. Also, the accounts of potentially hacked accounts restored the access token and saved the accounts of the people. As a precaution, Facebook also closed 'View As'. Facebook is collaborating with the FBI in investigating this case.
